□ Purpose: Promoting the use of alternative test methods in the domestic non-clinical laboratories by transferring techniques in alternative test methods

- LLNA:brdU-ELISA (OECD TG 442B)
○ Video lecture on the techniques needed for performing the two test methods and Q&A session

□ Purpose: Promotion and dissemination of alternative test methods in Korea by introducing test guidelines on alternative test methods
for cosmetic safety testing
□ Main topic:
○ Introducing 3 test guidelines on alternative test methods for cosmetic safety testing
- The Amino Acid Derivative Reactivity Asssay (OECD TG 442C)
- The Directive Peptide Reactivity Assay (OECD TG 442C)
- Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) Assay for Photo-reactivity
KoCVAM operate the booths in the 35th annual meeting of Korean Society of Toxicology
The KoCVAM operated booths to promote alternative test methods in the 35th annual meeting of Korean Society of Toxicology, and presented the video on eye irritation test method using MCTT HCE™. The KoCVAM also explained the current status of the validation studies in Korea, international cooperation with ICATM and EURL ECVAM, and KoCVAM’s activities including the publication of test guidelines on alternative test methods and educational workshops on alternative test methods.
KoCVAM’s Newsletter
The first newsletter of the KoCVAM was published in November. The newsletter compiles a number of articles explaining KoCVAM’s activities and achievements in 2019.
